In Runosmäki, in the heart of western Finland, LUVE made significant efforts providing eco-friendly heating solutions to the region, guaranteeing sustainability with the 3MW AmbiHeat heat pump plant built by Calefa Oy.
This plant, operational since late 2022, provides eco-friendly district heating to approximately 7,000 residents in the Runosmäki neighborhood.
Thanks to its cutting-edge technology, the plant utilizes the energy from the outdoor air to ensure a clean environment without harmful emissions.
To achieve this, heat collectors produced by LUVE’s plant in Finland, are utilized as components of the heat pump’s secondary circuit for district heating. The secondary glycol circuit absorbs heat from the surroundings and exchanges energy with the heat pump’s evaporator. This system allows the heat pump to operate with high efficiency.
Furthermore, the heat collectors are designed to work at extremely low temperatures, ensuring reliable and consistent performance, especially during the harsh Finnish winters.
