A newly operational cold storage facility in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province (north of Shanghai, China) is redefining scale in the cold chain industry. Reaching a staggering height of 62 meters, this massive structure stands as one of the highest fully automated cold rooms in the world.

Operating between -22 °C and -25 °C with automated logistics management, a facility of this scale requires extraordinary cooling power and efficiency.

To meet the project demands, the facility features 28 LUVE air coolers, 24 Defender LS and 4 Vantage FHC units operating with natural and sustainable CO₂ refrigerant. Designed specifically for massive distribution hubs, the Defender LS (Large Surface) series features internally grooved tubes, LUVE’s exclusive turbo-fins, in-line rows and an optimized fin-to-tube ratio. This specialized design delivers the high cooling capacity and exceptional air throw necessary to maintain uniform temperatures across immense vertical spaces.
