Uboldo (Varese), January 8, 2026 – In relation to recent technological developments in the data centre sector concerning the adoption of liquid cooling architectures for high-density computing applications, LUVE considers it appropriate to provide clarification regarding its technological and operational scope.

Publicly available industry information indicates that certain AI data chip manufacturers are adopting liquid cooling architectures based on direct liquid cooling (DLC) (rather than immersion cooling) with operating inlet water temperatures typically around 45°C.These architectures are designed to address the increasing thermal loads associated with high-density computing while reducing reliance on energy-intensive mechanical refrigeration systems (chillers).

Within such DLC-based configurations, heat rejection is typically achieved through dry cooling solutions or adiabatic cooling rather than traditional chillers, enabling chiller-less system designs with lower electrical consumption (lower PUE), lower capex and opex, reduced environment impact and reduced system complexity. In this context, dry coolers perform a primary heat rejection function and are therefore deployed as critical infrastructure elements.

LUVE does not manufacture chillers and focuses on dry cooling technologies, including dry coolers and adiabatic dry coolers, which are deployed across a range of industrial and infrastructure applications, including Data Centers chiller-less and high-temperature DLC-based cooling configurations.

The data center market is growing rapidly and becoming increasingly strategic for the Group, thanks also to investments made to expand facilities in the US and China.
Based on its existing activities and experience, LUVE considers that its established track record in dry cooling technologies is relevant to these applications.
